The twentieth season of Family Guy premiered on Fox on September 25, 2016. The premiere episode, “The Simpsons Guy”, is a crossover with The Simpsons. The episode begins with the Griffins watching The Simpsons. When the show is over, Peter tells the family that he has always wanted to meet Homer Simpson.
The family then drives to Springfield, where they meet Homer and the rest of the Simpsons family. The two families soon become friends and go on a variety of adventures together. However, they eventually have a falling out and decide to settle their differences in a boxing match.
The fight is a close one, but in the end, the Griffins come out victorious. The Simpsons family agrees to move to Quahog, and the episode ends with the two families sitting on the couch together, watching TV. “The Simpsons Guy” is a great episode that is sure to please both Family Guy and The Simpsons fans. The crossover is well-done and the jokes are funny. The episode is also filled with plenty of heartwarming moments.
