Episode 15 | Hard Boiled Meg

Plot (Spoiler)

Meg develops feelings for Seymour (Zachary Levi) at the bowling alley and offers to drive him home. She recognizes him as a crook right away, but she enjoys acting as his getaway driver. In the meanwhile, Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland, and Joe visit Virtual Reality World, a facility for virtual reality. Following the incident, Quagmire has a persistent case of the hiccups that his pals are unable to treat—even with the help of Dr. Hartman and Reverend Lucius (Jay Pharaoh)—leaving him uncomfortable and sleep-deprived. He eventually begs Peter to murder him, but is powerless to stop him after Quagmire’s cat Principessa gives him a scratch that stops his hiccups.

After a few burglaries, Seymour devises a scheme to rob Ross Dress For Less, which Chris overhears. Once it is accomplished, Seymour is about to declare his love for Meg when the cops open fire, killing him. Meg is driving Seymour in Peter’s car while Peter is driving Quagmire’s car with Quagmire trapped in the trunk. Quagmire is able to flee when both cars collide, causing the collision. Chris urges that he accept responsibility for his sister and explains that Seymour was only a creation of her fantasy. Later, Tom Tucker discloses that Meg’s hallucinations were brought on by the E. coli in the mustard packets she was gulping down. In a shocking twist, Seymour tells the proprietor of Virtual Reality World that he’d like to try out the Bob’s Burgers VR simulation, which turns out to be the basis for the entire episode.
